About Us

We are a friendly group of like minded individuals who enjoy a diverse range of model train related activities with a common factor of scale: We like it small = approx 2mm to one foot.

Just because we meet in a Christian church doesn't mean we don't welcome all creeds, colours, dispositions, ages, even people who like big trains as well as little ones.

We are affiliated to the the British N-Gauge Society and thus our name of "Geographical" Area Group of the Society.

Chairman. Richard Percy

Activities

Our purpose is to have somewhere we can all run our trains. To achieve this we have built and maintain our track. We meet every two weeks as well as occasional saturdays dedicated to running. Our track is modular and provided both by the members and sections held by the club. We help and encourage one another to build additional module sections to the N-Mod standard.

Trains

Obviously enjoying the hobby of model trains involves owning trains but you dont need to own any of a specific type here at the Berkshire Area Group. Something we pride ourselves in is the wide arena of members interests.

We share interests in British outline, both Steam and Modern era; German; Continental; American and even Japanese. Of course, they all claim their trains are best.

Just one thing - dont bring big 'uns' because we're N-Gauge!

Club Nights

Two wednesday evenings each month - the 2nd and the 4th - as well as a handful of saturday afternoons.
